The jewellery industry is inherently sustainable and consumers often pass on their jewellery to the next generation.

Our Product

We want your customers to have jewellery that they could wear for a long time and avoid buying fast fashion products. Quality never goes out of fashion. That’s why we’re committed to producing high quality jewellery, only work with precious metals, to help people maximise wear time and support conscious consumption.

Even for our gold plated products, we have developed a unique colour preservation technology. Our products are sure to be with you for years to come.

We are passionate about conscious production and we aim to be a trusted supplier of sustainable quality jewellery.

Our Material

From the outset, we also invested in resource recovery and recovery systems, allowing us to recover 90% of the precious metals flushed out of our polishing and plating baths.

We want to make sure that all the materials we use come from good sources, which is why we are committed to ethical sourcing. We work exclusively with long-standing, trusted suppliers who guarantee that our materials are ethically sourced.

All diamonds are conflict-free and GIA certificates are available (melee are not applicable). We can also use lab-grown diamonds upon request, which have the same chemical composition, hardness, brilliance and fire as natural diamonds, but cost 30% – 40% less than mined diamonds.

On request, we also use semi-precious and natural stones from all over the world. The use of simulated gemstones is also popular, including cubic zirconia and simulated gemstones. They are lab made and fully traceable.

Our Packaging

Packaging is a major part of the process. We want to ensure that our pieces make it to your door in environmentally-friendly materials. Our mailers, gift boxes, and jewelry carding are sourced from responsibly managed forests with BSCI Certificated, vetted by an independent third party.

Empowering Women

At Alona, we strive for gender equality every day by respecting and empowering women in the workplace. In fact, as of January 2023, our current ratio of men to women (factory and office combined) is 1 to 3. We are a company that chooses to invest in and promote women. When working on specific artisanal projects, we employ female craftspeople (more than 90 per cent female) in the surrounding rural areas, who have few job opportunities due to their family situation or the region’s isolation. Through customer orders, it has been made possible for the women craftsmen who make jewellery for them to be paid fairly and to work in a safe environment.

In addition, every year our team provides festive benefits to our female staff on International Women’s Day (8 March).

Giving Back

We strongly believe in the importance of giving back to the community. We are proud to be able to give back to the community through financial donations. With 10% of every purchase from Giving Back Series committed to supporting girls’ education in remote and underdeveloped areas, each piece joins us in promoting empowerment through education and being part of a movement that goes beyond fashion to create a better future. Each donation will be followed up by email.
